Nourish body, mind and soul on this day yoga retreat in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. Includes 2 full yoga classes with stretching, breath work, posture flow, meditation and deep relaxation..... a nutritious lunch and an optional walk in forest at the end of the day. The days schedule

•Yoga Class-11.00-12.30am

A 90 minute integrated yoga session including yoga flow and breath work

•Lunch 12.30-1.30pm

A delicious nutritious vegan lunch

•Meditation Class-1.30-3.00pm

A slow gentle restorative yoga session with meditation and relaxation

•Grounding in nature-3.00-4.00pm

Optional walk in the Ashdown Forest to ground us back into the present moment.

Tranquility Yoga Studio used to be the chapel on site at Barnsgate Manor. It has been renovated and set up as a yoga studio since 2022.

Enjoy stunning views of rolling hills and beautiful countryside all around. Behind the studio is part of the Ashdown Forest full of inspiration and grounding energy for us to absorb on the walk at the end of the retreat day.

The cosy studio is full equipped with all you need for a yoga class but you are welcome to bring your own mat and equipment if you prefer.

We will be going for the full yoga experience, immersing ourselves in the energy, wisdom and magic that the integrated yoga practice brings us. 

•The day will begin with a 90 minute yoga session to take us on a journey of self discovery... releasing past traumas and healing old wounds that prevent us from moving forwards in our lives. The session will include a deep stretch to prepare the body, a seated breath work set to clear out the old whilst building inner strength and self belief. We then move into a flow of yoga postures to balance strength and flexibility in the body. You will be invited to rest and adapt whenever you need to. We'll finish this first session with a short relaxation.

•After the first yoga session we will have a yummy nourishing lunch and refreshments. All food will be vegan (* please let us know of any allergies in advance and will accommodate)

•In the final session we will slow right down, taking some restorative yoga postures using yoga props. We will then practice some magical breath work to take us deep into meditation. Within this meditation we will set intentions and get clear on the visions we have for our lives. The session will finish with a luscious relaxation.

•Weather permitting we will then head out into the Ashdown Forest for a walk to get connected and inspired by nature. The walk is optional and will take around an hour.

Over all, this retreat day will guide and inspire you to set visions for your future, gaining clarity on the intentions and wishes you have for your life, whilst acknowledging how far we have come and what we have already achieved in life.

The retreat day will be a thorough deep cleanse of the body, mind and energy.. whilst brightening our inner light and building the confidence to shine it out into the world.

These powerful ancient yogic practices work deep into the human psyche and cells of the body. 

Free yourself from self doubt and untrained ego domination and finally have the self belief, self worth, self acceptance and self trust to be who you came here to be, in this body, on this earth, right now!

We'll also have a good old laugh and make sure we're not taking it all too seriously ;-)

About Rachel

Rachel first practiced yoga to support her dance career back in the nineties/ noughties and found the physical benefits a great help, eventually taking her first teacher training in London with Claire Missingham in 2009. Since then Rachel has taught yoga full time in group class and private sessions. 

Moving to ibiza in 2014 resulted in Rachel starting her own retreat company alongside teaching on other people’s retreats,  including Soulshine Retreats as the lead teacher. 

In 2018 Rachel finally made it out to India, a life long dream, to study with Anand Mehrotra and gain her 500 hour and Master Teacher Trainings. It was a life changing experience and changed the trajectory of her life and teaching.

Rachel’s classes are 'All Inclusive' as she encourages students to practice in the way that feels good to them and their bodies. Instilling that yoga is not about flexi, fancy poses or what it looks like, but it’s how it makes you feel. 

Breathwork is the key to her transformational classes and she tailors it to fit in with whatever the theme of the ‘Now’ is. Using practices to help students shift old negative experiences that hold them back, bad habits and repetitive toxic thoughts whilst building inner strength, self belief and self worth so that people can use the practice to change their lives into exactly what they want it to be.
