Ahimsic Health Yoga with Rachel has been a really great experience for me. I had spent months trying to fit yoga classes into my schedule but I missed more than I managed to attend so having this online portal which is chock full of an amazing array of classes was a dream come true. There are so many different class types, meditations, kriya and kundalini practices and then some pilates and keep fit too. It is a truly enjoyable experience to log on every day and have such choice. Rachel is kind and considerate teacher and is aware of the different level of each student. She has inspiring words for us all in each class she gives which really set you up for the day. For me the breath work and energy work was a completely new experience and has added another depth to my practice. I highly recommend it and use the website every day, some days for a lovely long class and other days for a 10 minute meditation. There is a variety of times and choice of class to suit everyone and I promise you will never be bored again……and all this for the same price as maybe one class a week in a studio. Such good value. I want to share my yoga journey with you. I hope it encourages you to give yoga with Rachel a try. 
I came to Rachel’s classes a complete beginner but I thought I’d give it a go and by using the 7 day free try I could always cancel if it wasn’t for me.
It was during my first ever lesson that something just clicked. In the last part of the meditation I began to feel tears flowing gently over my checks. I honestly can’t tell you what happened to me but it felt like my body was releasing everything it has been holding onto. It felt like the inner me had been released! I knew at that moment that I had to carry on with these classes, to learn more, to experience the power of yoga and meditation and to let my inner self feel as free as I had at that first class. 
I try to join at least one live session every week and love the online library, which I can catch up on classes/meditations at my own convenience. 
I am 43, married with two young children, 2 dogs, and live on a working arable farm. Life is busy! So meditation and being still seemed a foreign concept to me! But it’s the meditation that I’ve found the most valuable. I’ve found the stillness and silence magical. I suffer with chronic migraine and the breathing practices have been so therapeutic. I also carry a lot of tension in my neck and face from migraine attacks so the stretching that Rachel teaches has also helped so much. 
I believe everyone of us is born with a purpose. I truly believe Rachel has been tapped by a force greater than herself. Yoga and teaching yoga is her calling. She has empowered us all through fulfilling her presence on earth. I feel blessed to have her as my teacher 🙏🏻

Ahimsic Health platform includes LIVE weekly zoom classes plus an ever growing on-demand library currently holding over 150 sessions.
There is a dedicated section for beginners and a variety of classes for more experienced yogis. 
From 60 minute classes to 10-20 minute meditations, stretches, weights, pilates.... there is something to suit all levels and situations.
So if you only have 30 minutes before rushing out to work or you have just 15 minutes before the kids get up, there is something in there for you.

The current LIVE zoom class timetable has 4 weekly classes and monthly Sunday sessions.

MONDAY- 6pm Slow Flow & Meditation (60 mins)

TUESDAY- 7.30am Ahimsic Health Flow Yoga (45 mins)

THURSDAY- 9am Pilates Flow (45 mins)

FRIDAY- 9.30am Ahimsic Health Flow Yoga (60 mins)

SUNDAY- 9.30am Weight Training (25 mins)

SUNDAY- 10am Ahimsic Health Yoga Flow (45 mins)

All yoga classes include asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) kriya (energy work) meditation and intention setting.

So my experience has been wonderful and I’m very grateful for the Ahimsic Health platform 🙏
When we started I felt quite nervous because I’ve never done meditation before…I found it quite hard sitting still at the end…and couldn’t keep my thoughts away…
I felt very emotional the first week…lots of tears streaming towards the end part…I was also very aware of my body and felt unbalanced through my back and shoulders….however through this process (even though I’ve missed a few out) I can really feel the benefits….I’m calmer I feel more grounded…I can actually sit still now & have more control over my thoughts & focus on a light coming out of my third eye…my back and shoulders are feeling better….
This is all reflecting through my daily life…and for me this is just the start..

I will continue practicing every day now….I usually fit it in at night (just coz that works better for me…when kids are sleeping) 
So this is just a little feedback….but I’m sure it’s just the beginning of great benefits I will continue to feel….
It’s is still a challenge for me to take the time for myself….But I’m slowly learning that I need to do it because it’s making me stronger and I have to be physically and mentally strong for my family….

For anybody who is interested in signing up for membership to Rachel's classes please do it , you will not regret it.  I have been a member for over 6 months on the basic plan and I can honestly say it's the best money spent every month.  Lessons  are excellent value for money , even if you decide to pay the full membership  you are then able to gain access to her live yoga sessions. Rachel is truly an outstanding teacher and it has helped me enormously to become a calmer  more positive and flexible person than I've been in years.  I'm now 63 years young! Every month you have access to new classes in the library, and also classes that have been stored for you to access whenever you wish.  The classes cater for all abilities, from beginners to more advanced. The quality of her teaching is excellent and I actually feel Rachel is in my home doing yoga with me. Yoga is for everybody I can vouch for that, you don't have to be super bendy but trust me the stretching exercises work. I'm now more flexible and the mediation and breathing exercises help calm the nervous system. 

My recommendation to you is definitely give it a go.

About Rachel

Rachel created Ahimsic Health Yoga during lockdown. 
The platform was born from the demand for online classes and the frustrations of running classes via social media platforms. 

"I wanted to create a safe online space where people can sign in and access LIVE, ON DEMAND and PRE RECORDED classes without getting caught up in the drama of social media!"

Rachel was born in Chester and moved down to London to pursue a dance career at 16. After travelling a little bit of the world for various dance jobs, Rachel finally settled back in London, where she became a fitness instructor, pilates teacher and finally a yoga teacher in 2009.
Moving to Ibiza in 2013 she found a deeper connection to nature and the practice of yoga where she taught more yoga than every before and ran her own retreats. 
Having always dreamt of India since a child she finally made the trip in 2018 to deepen her knowledge of yoga and gain the 500 hour certification from Sattva Yoga Academy. 
This is where everything changed on a personal and teaching level. 

"I felt a huge release of past trauma I didn't know I was carrying.. self doubt, lack of confidence and constant self judgement. I discovered a deep peace and happiness within that hasn't gone away. This made way for me to be the passionate and inspired yogi that was always within me but too shy and embarrassed to shine out truly and fully."

Rachel returned from India eager to share the practice with others so they could learn how to let go of the ego tendency's that stop us from reaching our highest potential.
The integrated sessions she teaches evolved from this experience in India. 
Rachel is continuously deepening her knowledge and experience of yoga with many teachers and gained her Master Teacher Training with Sattva Yoga Academy in 2020.

"I am always a work in progress and never taking it all too seriously, laughter is a potent and powerful medicine and life on this planet is too short to be unhappy and stressed all the time. I am however fully committed to the yogic path and will always be evolving, learning and sharing. The goal is to find PEACE, LOVE and UNITY in body, mind and soul, this is what we work on at Ahimsic Health, it's integrated practice not just physical.

Yoga changes the body systems

There are more and more studies and scientific research coming out that prove how beneficial yoga is for the mind and the physical body.
The best study, of course, is to experience it first hand yourself, by trying the practice.

The magic and power of transformation is in the breath. When we breathe consciously we can completely change the functioning of the body systems. Regulating the nervous system, decreasing stress, lowering blood pressure and calming a busy mind.

Focusing on the breath, slowing and deepening it for a few minutes can not only regulate the nervous system but also the endocrine (hormones) systems, which in turn regulates digestion and strengthens the immune system.
Some of the exercises work on specific glands eg thyroid or thymus gland improving metabolism and immune function..... certain movements can activate the lymphatic system aiding in moving toxins out of the body.

Meditation is said to rewire the brain creating new neural pathways, increasing alertness, memory and concentration.

This is just touching the surface. The list of benefits to the body and mind are endless!
 

The yoga we are practicing at Ahimsic Health can help to alleviate anxiety, stress and worry, something we are all feeling on a personal and collective level in the world right now.
