When I first stepped onto a yoga mat, I came with a dancer’s mindset. I loved the challenge, the stretch, the sense of achievement in hitting a pose just right. To me, yoga was the postures...the deeper the backbend, the better. I was all in for the physical.
But as time passed....and especially during my time studying in India....something shifted. It wasn’t sudden, but it was undeniable. Through the breathwork practices I was learning...the pranayama, the kriyas....I began to feel a deep internal unraveling. Limiting beliefs that had quietly ruled me for years started to loosen. Patterns I hadn’t even realised I was stuck in began to lift. Forgiveness, for myself and others, arrived like a quiet exhale.
I always knew yoga was more than just fancy poses but I'd never quite known how to meditate or go deeper. Now I had found the magic!
Yoga isn’t about the poses. It never was. It’s about how you meet yourself, moment by moment. It’s about breathing into the stuck places and challenges of life...physically, emotionally, spiritually...and allowing change to happen from the inside out. It's about facing your shadows full on so you can transcend them and step into the light
I’m in no way perfect. I haven't got this thing called life down yet. I’m still learning and peeling back layers. Shedding past versions of myself and evolving who I am. Learning to deal with my triggers, wounds and past. But the more I return to these practices...the kriyas, the breath, the stillness....the more I feel the transformation. Not just in my body, but in how I live, relate, and show up in the world. I feel lighter, more trusting, and deeply connected to Soul and Mother Earth. Trusting in the quiet magic... that there’s something much bigger at play here.
I feel we've been misled by the athleticism of western yoga and so many shy away from trying it, in fear of not being flexible enough or not being able to sit 'statue like' still for meditation. So that's why I'm starting this new Online Beginners Yoga Class on Tuesdays- beginning May 13th at 5pm,
This class is for anyone who’s curious but maybe a bit hesitant. Or anyone that may have joined a class in the past and been overwhelmed by the physical practice and felt lost, degraded and disheartened.
If you’ve ever felt like yoga might not be “for you,” please know: it is.
You don’t need to be flexible or wear expensive leggings. You just need an open mind, a willing heart, and a desire to start.
In our classes, I’ll guide you with clear, simple instructions...no jargon, no pressure. We’ll explore foundational postures, breathwork, kriya, deep stretch, and meditations. You’ll learn not just what to do, but why, so you can connect deeply with the practice and, more importantly, with yourself.
Whether you’re brand new or returning after time away, this is your space to begin again.
I'm making the first class on Tuesday 13th May at 5pm FREE (recording available)
Come along and give it a go and if you want to continue, I'll send you details on how to do so after Tuesdays class.
I really believe everyone can get something out of yoga...you just have to start.
Join me to learn ALL aspects of yoga, not just the poses, learn how to control your mind and connect to your heart and soul... so you can evolve in your life and live the wonderful life you deserve to live.
It has definitely been a life changing experience for me and many of my members/clients and if you stick with it, I swear, life just keeps getting better.
Thanks for reading
Warm wishes
